Does it bother guys that I've never had a boyfriend?

I'm quite embarrassed to say that I'm in my mid-20s and have never had a boyfriend or really dated anyone.  I put myself out there, spending time with my friends, constantly meeting new people, pursuing my own personal interests and hobbies, and all in all having a good time out there living my life.  When I meet guys that talk to me to get to know me better, the dreaded question always pops up, "So, how many boyfriends have you had?".  When I tell them 0, it seems like they all think that there is something wrong with my personality, I'm a horrible person, or I'm a really picky person.  If you met a female that's intelligent, a truly genuine and caring person and is pretty "normal" and she tells you about her non-existent relationship history, would it bother you and why?

I know how you feel. I am in my mid 20s and I have never dated either, or had a BF. I was in Paris,France and this guy asked me the same thing, I was honest and he was completely shocked. He asked why and I said the same thing you are thinking.'I am too busy, I work, school, friends, blah, blah, blah, and most importantly "No good guys have ever come my way." its like an epidemic where I'm from, all the guys suck, or you meet one and he has a GF, or your his buddy, Whatever. So, technically its not me, it just hasn't happened, its hard sometimes but, life must fo on.

There isn't anything wrong with you. The way I see the single thing is that the universe ( the fate , destiny thing) is saving you for someone special, and when it happens it will be great. I know its easier said than done, put it saves you all the trouble of kissing those stupid frogs when your prince is right around the corner. Now if only we knew which corner, still looking for mine. It wouldn't bother me at all. In fact I'd have a lot more interest in you after that because you have just mentioned that you are intelligent, genuine and caring woman. But that's just me. I would understand if you never had a boyfriend before given your personality. You are not the only girl that I know who is like that.

So, once again, not only it doesn't bother me that you've never had a boyfriend but it will also make you a very interesting person to talk to.

No I wouldn't mind that bit of info (it depends on the nature of the "crime" I suppose:  like if you were holed up in some asylum for 6 years for sticking your cat in a blender because the rain clouds told you to do so.  THAT would make me run faaaaaar faaaaaar away).  It would be more perturbing if I heard the chick had 6 boyfriends (already) at 23.  If they don't accept you for who you are, then that is their loss.

I think it depends on the maturity of the person you tell and also how you tell them. You can't just say, "0". If that question comes up you need to say, "I've been so busy for most of my life, until recently I've never had the time to be in a relationship". Qualify the statement before you make it, don't just say, "0".

As for maturity, a more mature guy would ask further questions to try and find out WHY you haven't had a boyfriend, whereas other guys might just judge you on the spot.

No , but still different type of people its hard to judg on others unless we hear the whole story about why they don't have a boyfriend/girlfriend , so  don't worry a lot if a guy likes you for who you're he'll accept you .

it really doesn't bother me. I've dated a girl in her mid twenties who never had a boyfriend before me and I didn't mind it. she still acted like a girlfriend it all really depends on you, if your going to act like a girlfriend or just a friend when your together.
