Okay so I like this guy at work.i always thought he was drop dead beautiful. I never thought we'd talk, but eventually we started to. And I know he's interested in me now, and I think he has a great personality and we have so much in common. But for some reason, one night I talked to him and I felt like I didn't like him at all. No butterflies. No smiling unintentionally. And I felt so horrible because I've been sending him signals that I like him back! :( But then I start to feel like I like him again, then it goes away again.its on and off! This seems to happen to me alot, I like a guy, then when we start to talk more and more I lose interest. It seems like I only keep interest in the guys that like me, but treat me less kindly. Is it because maybe I'm not ready for a relationship? I personally thought I was. but I don't want to be in a relationship then break up a month later because there's no more sparks. Will I be like this in my marriage too? :(
It may be because ur not exactly sure who you are yet. Self-discovery is one of the best things a man or woman can do for themselves. Find out who you are, then decide what you want from men and pursue that.
I don't think your ready for a relationship. I say that because it doesn't seem as if you really know what you want. It will not be that way when you get married. Its a phase your going through. Certain things jump out to you, and if its not always jumping out, your unintentionally let down. Save others the heartbreak, and try not engage in a relationship. I have a friend in a similar situation. She's older, she just can't seem to like a guy ginuinely. & its not that they aren't attractive, but she needs more, and they aren't offering that. So until a guy can offer you that "more" that you need to remain interested, stay friends or whatever.
I know exactly how you feel I go through the same thing! This is what I think is it: you prob have had a guy that you once really like and ended up hurting you. Because of this its almost like your keeping your guard up.you know the guy likes you and you like him, but in order to protect yourself its like you convince yourself you don't because you don't want to be hurt again. I go through this all the time and what's hard is knowing if you really just don't truly like him or because your scared of gettin hurt. I say hang out with him one time, and see if its there, don't think about being in a relationship, just hang out and see if you click without thinking too far into it.
