Does a girl have a chance even if she's overweight?

i'm just asking because I'm a little big. I'm not obese but I don't have that cute shape that guys love. I'm working on it though but it will probably take a couple months before I get down to the size I wanna be. until then is there any hope for me to get a decent guy? he doesn't have to be perfect but I want someone who will treat me right and will accept me even if I'm not a model chick. I kinda lose hope because most guys my age (I am 19) want a hot girl to have fun with and I'm definitely not that so maybe I shouldnt expect much.

i have been told I'm a pretty girl but I'm sure they were just trying to be nice. I have a cute face so I will look good once I lose this excess weight but in the meantime am I just destined to be alone until I do?

most guys just see me as a friend or overlook me for other girls with nicer bodies. I have had prospects but usually they treat me like I'm 2nd choice or they try to use me because they think I'm desperate. lol I probably sound desperate but I do have respect for myself. I'm not gonna just let a guy use me like that. soo what is a girl to do?
