I should add that I've known this girl, literally, all her life. And I've regarded her as almost like a sister. But just recently she's kind of been flirting with me from a little to quite a lot. And actually I find myself to be quite enjoying the attention, and given 'normal' circumstances I would have done something by now. She is TOTALLY lovely.

Here's the clincher though, she's 13 and I'm 18, and that makes me feel like a pedo. Even without that complication, my younger brother (who's her age) likes her. So, what do I do? Just be cool and don't do anything?

Any advice is appreciated :)!

Update: Just to add: I have no intentions at all of 'acting' on it - for some reason my question has been edited and it lifts the emphasis away from where my question was. I just. Wanted to know how to handle the situation. appreciate the advice :)    7 months ago

I think by being her friend would be a very good way of handling the situation..... that is all I ever really wanted was a friend to talk to someone I could trust especially a guy I liked, when I was that age and still now I would!! Be here friend is all you really could do now!!

Actually, acting on it would make you a pedo. She's not even completely mature and I bet she isn't done growing - that's sick. Don't do anything! Girls at that age usually get a little boy-crazy and obsess over some older guy, that's normal for them; but you shouldn't encourage her by flirting, leading her on, or paying her any extra special attention. I'm sure there's a totally lovely girl who is at least 18 that you could be worried about instead of this baby!

Nope there is nothing wrong with having these feelings and enjoying it! I wouldn't act on it though there can be a whole lot of mess to deal with! I went through the same thing but it was the other way around I was 16 and he was 20 and things didn't turn out right and it ended up just being worse for me rather then him! Its cool to like her and you know like hang out and be friends but acting on it might not be to good. And then you said your little brother has a thing for her that might not turn out so great either! I can't say I know exactly how you feel but some what I do. I hope everything works out for you. Let me know happens!

I don't think you should act on it at all. Girls all go through this stage of "boy crazy" and she's the right age for it. I think you should just let it be. She's already to young. If you really like her wait till she's older. . . Which would be a long wait. And if your brother likes her that should be a heads up to not go for her. Plus the fact that your almost family. I don't think you would want to loose a little sister, even though we can get annoying.

Its a bit weird at young age, if she's 18 and your 23 then its ok or if your underage too, since you pass 18 your in the adult age group, lowest I think its normal to go for its teenager group at your age. 13 is more like Children group...

Stop messing with her she's 13, unless of course you want to be on To Catch a Predator in the future. Your 18 go find a girl who's legal
