Is it posible for a formally obese women to get model thin?

Question

I used to be obese , now I'm overweight according to BMI ( and semi chubby according to my friends description of me ), I lost about 50 pounds in a year . I never had the chance to wear a bikini and have a flat stomach or feel sexy . Anyways I just eat healthy , don't count calories much but I know I eat at like 1500-1700 , I also workout 2 hrs a day and burn about 800 calories in those 2 hrs ( according to online calculations) . So my friends and I were talking about my hard work ( I told them my goal weight is at 18 bmi model weight) and they were all like " Lose weight sure , but don't expect to ever look model , even if you ever get that thin which is impossible , you will never have a flat belly or look that good "

Is this true ? I have like another 30 pounds to reach my goal , so even if I do reach it , I won't look thin ?

I'm sure it's possible but it's highly unlikely, especially for runway modeling

If you lose too much weight quickly without a balance of cardio and strength training, it's possible to have loose skin and stretch marks all over the place. Not that stretch marks are bad, but modeling is basically 'reserved' in a way for the naturally tall, slender women.

But that shouldn't be the highlight of your life. I mean, you lost 50 freaking pounds! Do you know how ridiculously awesome that is?

You're young and chances of having flabby skin are unlikely, but most models(haute couture models) begin at around 14/15 and their careers are usually over by 23 or so. There are exceptions like Kate Moss, but she's sort of iconic like Twiggy, Tyra, Cindy and Beverly.

If you mean bikini modeling or just getting a bikini body to feel sexy and comfortable... it's definitely possible to get in shape like them. Continue doing 30-60 minutes of cardio a day but MAKE SURE to get in strength training 2-3x a week. Strength training be pilates or weight lifting(preferable) and squats and lunges can be a girls best friend.

I was an overweight child myself (my brother and I used to polish of a Jumbo bag of Lays potato chips for breakfast and then have McDs for dinner. It was bad) I wouldn't compare yourself to a model, many of them are unhealthy, which isn't a good thing.

Absolutely you can have a flat stomach! It takes work, yes, but if you keep at it you will get there :) It's definitely not impossible. Be healthy, that's the number one thing. Being unhealthily thin isn't a good thing, be healthy slender. You can absolutely get a bikini body, and regardless of what the scale says, what the BMI says(It doesn't measure muscle mass, you'd need a Bod Pod Exam to determine that) , you are beautiful regardless of what the number on the scale says. Given how young you are, you have a much better chance at achieving the look you want than, say, a 40-year-old.  I wouldn't worry too much about what they say; instead, keep doing what you are doing and see what happens.  You can always change your workout to target problem areas if you need to later, but for now, what you are doing is working.

You can look model thin, its just that usually women that were formally obsese require some sort of surgery to get rid of excess skin or to get that small in the first place. You are doing a great job, and are closing in on your goal weight. Don't listen to them. Show them that its possible. Let that be your drive when you are working out to prove them wrong.

you're under 18,you probably won't have much loose skin,so,it is possible-if your body type allows it,not everyone can have a skinny hourglass body
