Here's something that I do to keep my metabolism up: I do things throughout the day like park at the end of my school/work - parking lot. To get in more walking throughout the day. And on my days off from work, I watch my favorite tv shows while walking on the tread mill in my basement. And I'd rather spend a half-hour working out in the afternoon, and a few quick exercises in the evening, then use the treadmill. I like to spread it out. But that fits my schedule.
But I think that if diet pills worked as good as they say that they do on the commercials; then you wouldn't have case's of anorexia and bulimia and things like that in such extremes as they have been known to be, if there was an easy way out like a diet pill. And Athletes who have to cut weight, would eat whatever they wanted to - and resort to the diet pill. Even this green tea pill, use your judgment wisely on it. Athletes like Ultimate fighters (Ufc) they use a sauna to cut weight fast, and it results in some form of dehydration, and some lose fights because of it, affecting their paycheck. Some Models become sick because of eating disorders, and their paycheck suffers. And diet pills might have the same effect on some people, Not really sure. Or it could have a different effect, like a placebo, where you don't lose weight, but take on the side effects of the pill, if it has any. And the pill just makes you feel like you lost weight.
And not to say diet pills do or don't work (and this is a good question, I'm in no way poking fun at the question), I would just place more faith in a chewable flintstone's vitamin, you know. I know they taste good and are good for me, lol.
Diet pills may not necessarily be bad for you but they are definitely bad for the pocket book.
Losing weight is a simple formula --- burn more calories than you consume. Water is also a very important aspect of it. Think of water as giving yourself an internal shower on a daily basis to wash away the gunk and impurities we store up.
As for green tea, it is good, but it is a fad right now. Pure green tea is not cheap either and you ought to drink it if you like tea and for its minerals and properties but you will not loose a lot of weight just by drinking it or popping over priced green tea tablets.
Hoodia suppresses your appetite like a mug! I know a lot of girls who love it and it works great for them. I liked the fact that I didn't want to eat but it made my heart feel weird so I decided to stop.
My advice: Don't use any pills! Green tea is great for you. But don't count on it to help you lose weight because you will be disappointed. How do I know this? Because I went on a diet and lost 70lbs. If you want to lose weight. The bottom line is change your eating. At first it's extremely difficult but if you really want it. You'll do it! EVERYONE says oh I've tried this I've tried that and nothing works. They're full of it lol. Try this. 1300 calories a day. Cut out the fast food. At least for 2 months and get some of the dinners at the grocery store called "smartones. " Even though it's weight watchers food, most of it is sooooooooo good including the ice cream! They even have breakfast sandwiched that are really good. I stayed on this diet for a whole year and decided that now is time to take a break. I've been eating regular food. But my weight hasn't gone up because I've learned from them meals how to portion my food. It's a great way to lose weight and it's also healthy. You should keep in contact with your doctor so he/she knows that you are dieting. Good luck and hope I helped!
