I used to play softball and still I did not know what a foul poll was there was this one time when he was talking about football with a friend and said that there was a game with the teams bears and the red sox and I {not know they where talking about football} asked how does a bear play football?

Also I need as many fact about football as possible!

Ok the basics of football the opposing team trys to gain as much territory (yards) while the other team is trying to prevent them. So their goal is to try to get as far down the field as possible and hopefully earn a touchdown 6 points or they may settle for a field goal 3 points. After making a touchdown the scoring team gets to add another point by kicking it through the goalposts. So then that makes a total of 7 points for a touchdown. Now I'm not the biggest football fan/player I prefer wrestling. Anyways you should really just ask him because he should be more than happy to teach you.

Personally, that's my favorite type of relationship, going out with someone whose not from the same social group =P. It's fun to learn about what they do in they're spare time and such.

Ask him to teach you about football lol, don't try to hide that you know nothing about the game, I'm sure he'd LOVE explaining it to you, and I'm sure you'll probably find it boring as heck if your parents didn't watch sports when you were a kid, just pretend your interested is usually the best way to go =P.

Just ask him if he can teach you a couple things. I'm the ace of our pitching staff at our high school (not to be cocky) and I have had about 6 girls in my school ask if they could be taught some baseball and all I said was if you come to one of our games with the team I will teach you a couple things before the game and that's what I did.

First off, red sox not a football team, that's baseball. bears is the team name and mascot. google football, rules teams etc. surprise him with your newfound knowledge of the game. =]

try www.nfl.com that's got almost everything. or google football for beginners. or ask your dad if he knows.

Try this. www.nfl.com and www.espn.go.com these two websites will allow you to at least know what is current in the world of sports. also use search engines for the rules of both sports, and the positions of the players. also check out each sports hall of fame websites, that way you'll be well rounded by knowing who the great players are. -j
