So I been running 20 laps around the track field my cousin says that 5 miles believe him because I am so sore but I'm okay still alive well I'm wondering if I keep that up will it help me lose a good amount of weight right now I'm around 180 suppose to be 140 and please don't tell me to have a balanced diet I'm Mexican food ant that healthy but yes I'm running in the afternoon and I'm thinking of keeping that going for about a month.
the running will help, but if you want to really loose the weight, you need to make sure your diet is properly balanced. Also, drink water and a little juice, no soda. That actually does make a pretty big difference.

It sounds kinda gross, but watch the color of your urine. If it isn't clear, you aren't hydrated enough and should drink more water. also, if you run that much, be sure to stretch out before and especially after the run. If you're back hurts, it could be the type of shoe you run in. - More than a year ago
Ok I know you don't wanna hear it but listen up, Mexican food is cooked in nothing but oil. Fried things are not helping you. you can run all you want but itll only do so much. If you hav tacos and chimmichangas or enchilladas or whatever its all cooked in grease which is bad. Why do you think they tell you to stop eating fast food when your on a diet. solution: a)stop eating mexican food or b) eat better mexican food. no fried things beans that are freshly cooked not refried soft shell tacos so warmed up tortillas and smaller portions. you include your running and you'll be ok. no soda just water. soda has sugar which is not bad but not good. if you have nothing but water in your system its easier to lose the weight cause its all water weight.
When trying to lose weight, of course, what you take in matters. Also, if you lose the weight, and keep on eating the way you eat now, then you'll easily gain the weight back. As far as mexican food is concerned, when I lived in texas, I did notice I gained a few pounds when I was eating mexican food; yes, is good, but hell, can't eat that every day if you want to stay thin, unless of course, you're willing to eat boiled beans, no melted cheese, and lots of salads :P So yea, if you're not willing to have a balance diet, then is definitely going to be harder to lose the weight, and much more difficult to keep the weight off.
ok one of the solution is watch you'r food and basically diet because running is good but it can't solve the weight problem , try to eat two meals daily for couple weeks and see if it'll work for you .
the easiest way to lose weight is with resistance training. this means when using an elliptical or something of the sort to keep adding increasing amounts of resistance. Of course running on the track is good too but if you don't have an elliptical or belong to a gym then running uphill will also help a lot since it is a form of resistance. when you go to the beach, run in the sand. you burn WAY more calories in a shorter amount of time. just be creative and switch it up. your body will get used to routine and you will start to see a decline in effect that the workout will have on your body. can you tell that I work at a gym? haha

It's gonna be harder to keep the weight off without changing your diet as well. How bad do you want it? It's not like you are forced to eat unhealthy foods just because you're Mexican.
