I try to avoid any discussion of it. If my wife starts talking about it, I just ignore her, or change the subject.

A previous girlfriend once got a yeast infection, and wanted to tell me all about it. No thanks. I don't want to know, and you don't want me to know, because next time I go down on you, guess what I'll be thinking about?

The only thing men really need to know about periods is that we're in pain, we need chocolate, and we may whine. That way, he can be a hero and bring us chocolate and Midol. Plus, if he's smart, he can rent a sappy chick-movie so as to distract her from whining. Forewarned is forearmed, man.
