People always say "eat healthy" but I know it's not that easy. When I wanted to lose weight I read this magazine that changed my life. Unfortunately I can't remember what magazine it was but I know what it said. This is sort of what it said in the article:
You know that huge bowl of cereal you have in the morning? Or that three scoop ice cream cone you get everyday? You may think it's okay, but you will be just as full with a smaller bowl or a two scoop cone. See, your body is full, but you can't realize it when you're eating. Start with smaller portions and to help, buy smaller bowls so you CAN'T put that much cereal in it. And when you eat dinner, wait 20 minutes before eating dessert. It takes about 20 minutes for your body to register as "full", so you may not even feel up to eating dessert! And eat meals slower so the body can digest and break down food while you eat. Gaining weight can be caused by lack of the body breaking down food.

I know this is probably one of the worst sounding ideas but I've done the low-carb diet and it really works. I am extremely active and I have managed to keep the weight off for over 2 years now. do some research though because diets are diffrent for everyone. As for the shyness be confident. Girls are just as nervous to talk to you as you are to them. Get out there and go talk to them. Sometimes a new look is a great confidence booster. A confident guy who is a bit shy is hott.

One word: Vegitarian.
I know a lot of people can't even imagine being a vegitarian but you lose weight like crazy. I was 140lbs and then when I became a vegitarian I lost 22 pounds in 2 months. Its because you have to drink protein shakes which have metabolism boosters in them, then you have to eat nutritious foods which fill you up and barely have any calories in them such as luna bars (they are delicious and nutritious), then you have to eat tofu which has little calories in them but fill you up super fast (the brand morning star is the best). Plus you have to start reading labels to make sure there are no meat products (gelatin, meat flavoring) so you are looking at things like calories.
Trust me, meat has a lot of fat in it and being vegitarian doesn't have to be a permanent thing but you will lose weight fast so you should consider it =]
As for the girl problem, the skinnier you get the happier with yourself you'll be and your confidence will come with it.

If you eat fast food a lot you should try to cut some of it out, or even just not ordering fries and getting juice or water instead of soda will really help. If the only thing you drink is water ever, you will drop alt of weight. My cousin did it and he lost almost thirty pounds. Also, whenever you have spare time, you should go to the mall or park or something and just walk for a while. I was afraid of gaining weight when I went to college,but I kept it off because I do so much walking. As far as the girls thing goes- you're tall, which is a plus so embrace it. Some girls like guys who are a little bigger (height wise and weight wise) because they feel safe and secure around you. If you have a sense of humor that REALLY helps too. Being shy about your weight only makes you seem unattractive sometimes. And your health is the most important thing. Even if you are a little bigger, as long as you're in shape it should'nt matter.

First of all make realistic goals. Realistic being trying to lose about 5-10% of your body weight first which in your case would be about 12-24 pounds. In order to lose a pound a week you need to cut out or burn 500 extra calories a day. Keep a food diary and write down what you eat. I would start exercising for 30 minutes a day and then move that up to about an hour. I would also exercise with a friend and make a specific time slot for it where you can do it consistently everyday. If you are not used to exercising or don't have money or access to a gym I would try walking around in your neighborhood or if you have the cash investing in a tread mill. If you have a pool or a bike I would definitely do that or join clubs where they do physical activity.

I'd like to add that besides eating less and exercising more, you need to be VERY patient. You won't lose weight fast, but you will lose it eventually, so be patient.

The guys below are right, eat less excersize more. But the key to loosing weight is not what you do but your motivation and commitment. It's much easier to sit around watching tv or playing video games than it is to go for a jog. Now, so you don't burn your self out right away by exsersizing too much, start off slow. For me, I would always get frustrated after running for a few weeks and still having short breath, that is beacuse I pushed myself too hard too fast. I'd say start out with a light moring routine, that you do everyday (but it's ok if you miss a day here or there). A morning excersize routine jump starts you metabolism, wakes you up and makes you feel better metally and physically all through out the day. A good beginners morning routine for you would be a series of stretches, for this and how to properly stretch, look online for the right way to stretch. After you've become comfterable with streching, do a few crunches, also, look up online how to properly do a crunch, many people get it wrong. After you've become comfterable with this, encorporate an aerobic routine that is renfourced by some light (1-5lbs) wrist weights. This is a great all over work out. After you've become cofterable with all of this, maybe move on to bike riding, which really kicks your ass if you have a terrain that varries between straight aways and hills. Oh yeah, stay away from processed foods like hot pockets, mc donalds, chips, soda, especially soda, stay away from soda. Eat more chicken, veggies ect...and if you learn to cook healthy and your good at it, you can cook for your date and impress them with your skills in the kitchen. Good Luck.

Instead of eating 3 meals a day, eat 6 smaller meals through out the day. Also, drink LOTS of water. I started drinking tons of water every day and I lost 14lbs in 2 weeks. Also, exercise more.

Here are some tips, you won't lost weight without doing this. First of all eat breakfast, never go with out eating breakfast. This is the most stupid thing you can do. when you don't eat breakfast you have no carbohydrates to burn throughout the day, so what is left to burn?...Muscle, henceforth your gaining fat. Secondly, eat a small snack every two hours. make sure you have energy throughout the whole day. you might be thinking, wtf, I'm trying to lose weight why would I eat every two hours? well what your eating (not candy but I mean fruits yogurt,) gives you long term energy, so you don't feel lousy. One of my last tips is while working out, work out at least an hour a day of continuous motion...CONTINUOUS! I can't emphasize this enough. you can sprint 3 miles in 20 mins (hypothetically) and not burn fat. it takes 30 mins to burn carbs then after the 30 mins you can start burning fat. Before you can burn fat you have to burn all your carbohydrates. Next after a good workout you must eat to fuel your body to build muscle. Last of all doing this and working out will help you build self-confidence. Working out makes you hurt, yet in the long run you will feel really good about your self, and will be able to socialize more.

You are not actually that overweight, lose about 30 pounds, you can do this by simply working out 3 days a week, just do 50 sit ups or 20 pushups, or go jogging or join a gym, I am trying to get in shape for soccer season, and that is what I am doing...also you could go the other route, if someone likes you they will like you for who you are unless they are super shallow...I wouldn't worry about it, another way is to skip a meal a day... hope this helps, if you need any specific work out programs or anything just message, I am also rather new but I know some good people that are willing to help!

Check it, I used to be 260 and I'm 5'10. Now I'm 180. It took me about 8 months to do it, and it requires a lot of discipline, as weight loss can be very frustrating. 1) Set goals 2) Make a regular weigh in, once a week... nothing more nothing less 3) Look at your diet, and eliminate foods that don't contribute much nutrition ie junk food, pasta, white bread 4) Make a work out plan. I don't know what your fitness level is, but recognize that you have to push yourself, but you also need to accept your present limitations. 5) Elliptical's are great for overweight people, I'd recommend using those. They burn lots of calories and are low impact. When your this big your joints and tendons will be put under great stress. 6) Lift weights. Tearing and rebuilding of muscle not only burns calories during the activity but you will be burning calories all day, and all night while you sleep. Lifting burns LOTS of calories. 7) Re-evaluate your goals ever two weeks. Keep some records to measure your progress, and make new goals and adjust your work out plan.
Don't get discouraged. You can lose this weight in months, or years... everyone's body is different. When you start to get in good cardio shape you can start playing sports which makes working out a lot more fun. I don't even go to the gym to work out, I just play sports and I'm in great shape. It requires a high commitment level, and there will be missteps along the way. Make sure you eat well, it's okay to let yourself cheat sometimes, but be disciplined about it. NO MORE FAST FOOD EVER!

well, of course the answer would be confidence... if you feel like you can get the girl even with being so called "fat" then that's the key... but if you really feel like you cant, then obviously you'll want to lose some
as far as losing some, eat better (not necessarily less) exercise, and go to the bathroom 3 times a day...eating high fiber foods as well as high potassium foods helps a lot. exercising 15-30 minutes a day on different parts of your body helps, and going to the bathroom 3 times helps in the sense of well yeah I think you know, haha.
but really I mean if you approach a girl, confidently, they (mostly) won't care what you look like. and by confidently I mean, head up, smiling etc...

there is a habit when lossing wieght of joining a gym. I don't know why people do this, its expensive, easy to avoid and gyms are very intimidating places. by far the best way to loss wieght is running, it also one of the cheapest.
A friend of mine lost a lot of weight by signing up for a 5km (3 mile) race that was in 40 days. Because he had decided he was doing the run, he was motivated to train and then had the great feeling when he finished the race. He's kept going and has increased the distances to half marathons.
