How to Tell Someone You Just Want to Be Friends?

Step 1

Try subtle hints that let the other party know that you're not interested in romance. For instance, "I really value our friendship" (with emphasis on "friend"), or "It's so nice to have a guy/girl friend who I can talk to without any kind of romantic tension to get in the way."

there is no easy way around this. you need to tell him exactly what you explained above. however be specific in that you have love for him as a friend, try to ease it to him. you don't see him in that manner but still want him only as a friend. he will understand and might get a little sad or even upset but hell know that your still his friend and assure him that you care.
