My boyfriend found out that I cut.

Personally, I've had the same problem. Believe me when I say that he truly honestly only wants what's best for you. He's offering you a way out in the only way he knows how... but still while giving you a choice. Cutting is a serious and difficult addiction. I'm sorry you've had to go through it, and I'm sorry it's as common as it is. Like any other addiction you need to find ways to distract yourself. Playing video games is a good one :) and something you can do with your boy if he's interested. Ask your family and friends to help elevate existing pressure. You don't even have to tell them shy. Just explain that youve been having a hard time and you need help to not be so stressed. Remove yourself from the situations causing you pain, and find your "sun". And don't ever forget that it is PERFECTLY OKAY for you to take care of you. Indulge in spoiling yourself. Everybody needs a break sometimes, and youve definitely deserved it. Since the main topic is how your boyfriend fits into all of this... Use him as your confidante. Let him feel helpful by giving him progress reports. Call him when you feel the need to cut again, and make it a night out with the two of you. He cares about you, and I doubt he'd turn down the opportunity to help you get better. You can do this!!! It takes a lot of effort but you'll get there :)

Please don't cut anymore...you have a guy that is willing to see you through this and is willing to be there when you need him. He seems to love you and wants you to get better, if not for him stop cutting for yourself, go get help & I'm sure he will stand by you when you need it the most.

Stop cutting, get help and be there for the guy who seems to be there for you. He is scared that something bad will happen to you...dont let that thought come true for him...try your best.

First of all, I think it's great that he loves you enough to demand that you stop. That's a really good thing. As for HOW to stop, you probably need professional help to do it. A therapist can help you out how to help you get your emotions under control without doing something like cutting to make it worse. Good luck.
