If you text a guy and they text back every time is it a good sign?

Question

There's this guy I text once or twice a week and he always texts back as if he's interested in me...and uses smileys in every text like the wink ones and the happy smileys. He knows I fancy him as well. We don't talk to each other in school were not in the same classes

and one time when he didn't have any free texts left when I texted him in the evening he replied back and said "hey I haven't got free texts left. at the moment. so I'll text you whenever I get credit ;) goodnight :)"

Is good that he text me back to tell he he hasn't got free texts?

did he do this because he didn't want me to think he was ignoring my text?

And should I wait for him to text me now? or how long to wait before I text him?

i am going to start by posting what I have already said in a similar question:

i always use smilies in texts, because texts are such an unemotional form of communication that you need them to show what you are thinking. to be honest, if he was flirting I would expect him to add kisses on the end (at least 3), so I think he is just being friendly.

if a guy texts you back then of course it is a good thing. if they don't text back or if you send another text and they still don't text back, then I think he is hoping that you will stop sending texts. if they text back immediately then they like you.

finally, answering your question "And should I wait for him to text me now? or how long to wait before I text him?", for goodness sake! if you want to text him, text him! don't follow any sort of stupid society advice that you find in tabloids such as you should wait at least 3 days after getting their phone number. do what you think feels right!

The fact that he took one of his non free texts to text you that he had no free texts is a good thing. I'm sure once he gets his credits he'll be like Alright you can text me now :). So you are making good progress, but don't get too into thinking he's interested in you because maybe he's just ya know the nice type of guy. But all in all I think it's a good sign and yes do wait cause now is the time to "test the waters" if he does text you when he gets credit that means he thinks about you and doesn't forget his word.  ^^

don't sweat it. it's nothing big. it's good I suppose, just means he likes talking to you and doesn't want you to think he's an ass if you text him and he doesn't answer.  but don't jump to conclusions, don't assume he's interested in you in the same way you are. and YES wait until he texts you. he told you he would text once he got credit so wait

Yes it's a good sign that he always responds even to let you know that he's not ignoring you. However, how often does he text you first? Usually, if the guy does less initiating than the girl, he's not that invested.

yes its good he made you aware that he did not have enough text to text you back, and yes its to make sure that you don't think he ignored it. if he always responds to your text its good
