I'm 6'0'', and 18 years old (done growing). I've been feeling really "down" on my body for, like, since whenever I can remember, I guess.
I weigh 135, size 5 like extra extra long. Or I'll shop at Buckle, and their sizes are way different, and I'll wear like 26 extra long =].
I know this is a pretty average weight, I'm guessing, but these sizes, URG, I don't know, I used to be smaller, and I'm just feeling really huge, so here's the question:
How much weight should I lose, but still be at a healthy weight?
although this is not scientific at all----my girlfriend at 5'7 weighs 130 and she appears quite thin for her weight (size 2 pants), and wherever she goes, they are always asking her if she is eating ok; she has a fast metabolism so I know she eats a lot and never puts a pound on; so for 6'0 and 135lbs, I would say you're on the very underweight side of the scale. However, that depends also on the frame you have, but I can't see 6.0 and 135 as needing to lose weight. If anything, you might need to gain a few more pounds! ;)
check out this site for how other people look for height and weight:
I don't think I'm underweight. Believe me. It's ugh.
But-- that little chart thing made me laugh =] Thanks for it. I couldn't help but smile at all the nerdy people around me height/weight category. Loved it! - 3 months ago
I'd say don't sweat the weight. People, women especially, are too concerned about weight. The real question is do YOU like the way you look? If not, go to a gym and work on places you want to improve, abs, legs, etc.
You don't need to lose weight. But I understand why your discouraged about cloths, my girl friend is 5'8", all legs, and wears a size 5 and has a horrible time finding pants. She also is too hard on herself about her weight no matter how much I tell her she's perfect the way she is. I think its unhealthy for you to think you need to lose weight based on your stats. I think you should listen to everyone else on here too who are saying your fine the way you are.
I wouldn't recommend losing weight, but if you don't like a certain part of your body work on that toning looks good.2 skinny girls don't look attractive.
If you feel there's something wrong with your body, the best you can do is go to a good gym, get a gym pro and let him give you advice and tell him that you want to get in shape!
im 5'10 and I'm 145 in a size 7.and everbody says I'm super skinny even thought I weigh more than them, and if you are 6'0 and 135 you don't need to loose weight, I always think girls that are thicker look better not fat but curvy and sexy. and soo I actually want to gain more weight (muscle) because I wanna be like that. and I have come to realize that no matter what I do, my body just won't ever look like an average 5'5 bombshell.so I think your good
Your 6', size 5, and only weigh 135 pounds you sound very thin. I don't think you should lose anything. Why do you feel huge? Maybe the reason you used to be smaller because you weren't done maturing yet.
I don't know... I about a year and a half ago, I was 125, and the same height, and now, 135 just seems like too much, if that makes sense! I'd feel so much happier if I lost just a little, you know? Like, do you think 5 lbs would be okay?! - 3 months ago

No, I really don't think you should lose anything. Girls that are 5'5 and 125 lbs. can be thin, so I'm having a hard time seeing how you at a foot taller could even be fat. How old are you? Maybe you got some more hips or something - 3 months ago

OK you have nothing to worry about, you gain a lot of weight at that age. Probably not the lard-fatty weight, but the weight you need to mature as a woman. - 3 months ago
You're not fat, you're tall. You really don't need to lose any weight. I know BMI isn't a perfect measure, but according to it you're slightly underweight as it is. I think you just need to learn how to accept your height.
