Girls, during a "sugar coated" break up, at what point do you break and say the truth?

If you had broken up with a guy and you sugar coated it and didn't exactly say "I don't like you any more" and instead said something like "my life is to busy"/"I'm not looking for a relationship"/"I need some time to think" or any thing else that didn't state directly what you meant. If the guy kept questioning you, not in a rude way but in a way of caring and trying to find out what it is that you mean exactly (i.e. That you just don't like him any more) at what point would you break and just give in and say the truth, would it be something he says or just the fact that he keeps bringing it up, like multiple days in a row, almost a week? What's the breaking point?
