Never Again

I've never been a fan of meeting men online but I was told to try all avenues because I was still "single" and have been for a long time. I eventually agreed to meet this guy named Jorge. Cute, good head on his shoulders, and he seemed anxious to meet me. He's seen all my pictures, seeing as I had 6 on my profile.

We agreed to meet at this bowling alley and although I knew he was 6'3" he seemed like a tall 6'3". But when we meet and he realized I was me...he had this disappointed reaction on his face. I knew right then that although he had seen my pictures...he expected something better still.

Right after that subtle disappointed reaction we went to the bowling alley. He had this air of arrogance about him and impatience. The bowling alley was packed and the employee said it was a 45 minute wait. I asked him if he wanted to do something else instead. He cut me off immediately said that we'd still bowl and eat lunch first then come back. He picked the restaurant himself without asking me.

He walked so fast he was always a foot ahead of me barely responding to anything I was asking him. He didn't bother making conversation either.

He picked the spot, didn't even really ask me where I wanted to sit. Didn't initiate conversation and I struggled the entire time to get a conversation out of him. THe only time he seemed to be animated was when he talked about his trip to jamaica. He barely ate...acted like he didn't want to be there. Acted indifferent. He seemed to act more and more like he only stayed there out of obligation.

We headed back to the bowling alley 45 minutes later...I told him I hadn't played in 15 years, while he played 2 weeks prior and said he was good at it. I ended up beating him at both games by alot...and he acted like I had lied to him. He even seemed offended that I won.

After it was over he walked me 1/2 way to my car and said goodbye. I forced a hug on him I think and I never heard from him again.
