Why do you think he stood me up on our 3rd date?

I need help,
I've been dating this man off eHarmony for a little over a month, yes I paid too.
We both connected were on the same page with kids, marriage, sex and what we were looking for in a life partner.
We've been on a few dates, hung out, texted. Holiday season was in the mix then we had crazy weather so meeting was a bit hard. We chatted and things seemed fine. We made a plan to have a date over a weekend and do to weather we were both snowed in.
We rescheduled for the following weekend. I told him that I was going to be attending the women's march and ill be home around 3:45, so lets meet around 4:30-5:00. He said great and he misses me and...
I get home send him a message letting him know I'm getting ready and ask if were still meeting at the time I mentioned. No reply, but I saw he read the text. ( I thought maybe he is getting ready).
6:45 pm rolls around and I still haven't herd from him. This could have been my mistake, I gave him a call and it just rang and rang. This is not typical behavior for him, he told me his pet peeve is when people are late. It's now 9:00 pm, dun, dun, dun I sent him one last text asking him if everything was okay. You guessed it not a reply. ( I probably shouldn't have sent him that text.)
I have no clue what happened and yes I'm hurt.
He was so interested in getting to know me, he made the efforts in conversation, and I don't see that often. From what I understood we're both on the same side politically. Could that have freaked him out that I did the March even though he new I was going to do it. I just don't know what to do anymore. I feel like any men I meet they all disappear.
Any advise helps, thanks for taking the time to read.
