What does it mean when a girl suddenly out of no where starts texting a guy with a lot of smiley faces, and single smiley responses? When she never did that to him before. is ths a sign she likes me?

Possibly. I always use smiley faces so, I would imagine that if she started to use them out of nowhere that she either: a) likes you, or b) just found out how to use them.
