Stephen Mahala's Movie Review: Inside Out

Hello there GAG movie lovers! It's time for a GAG movie review by me! Today we are going to review the movie Inside Out. I recieved this movie for Christmas, I got the blu ray,DVD, and digital combo pack. So now I can watch it anywhere! Oh and be forewarned there will be spoilers, so if you do not want to know the spoilers please skip this review altogether.

So the story begins with a girl named Riley. Riley's emotions: Joy (voiced by Amy Pohler), Fear (Voiced by Bill Hader), Disgust (Voiced by Mindy Kaling), Sadness (Voiced by Phyllis Smith), and Anger (Voiced by Lewis Black) all control Riley's thoughts, feelings, and memories inside her head. Each time a certain emotion is expressed by Riley, a marble is dispensed according to the color of the character (which is shown above). So in the story,Riley's family moves from Minnesota to San Francisco because her father got a new job. Over the course of time Riley who is a preteen starts experiencing mood changes due to the characters inside her head controlling her. Sadness fudges up and turns some of her happy memories into sad memories, so while joy and sadness try to make her memories happy again, and save whats left of her emotions anger, fear, and disgust take over. This change in leadership makes Riley have some weird mood swings. She becomes distant from her family, her friends, and eventually her emotions altogether. But while on the quest to restore Riley back to normal the two heroes Joy and Sadness run into Riley's childhood imaginary friend Bing Bong. So then our three heroes try to get back to headquarters to restore Riley's normalcy. Over the course of the journey they run into: abstract thoughts tank ,the train of thought, and the dream movie studio where her dreams are made. Meanwhile,Riley takes a notion to steal money from her moms purse. And buy a bus ticket back to Minnesota. But shortly after she boards the bus she has second thoughts as Joy and Sadness return to headquarters. Riley then returns to her family who forgives her and welcome her back with open arms.

Overall I really liked this movie. Because it talks about a child who is growing up experiencing changes in her life and how each emotion handles things differently. Also if you let certain emotions control you, things can and will get shaky. Plus it also teaches a valuable lesson to never forget your happy memories and move.on even though it's hard. On a 0 to 5 scale, i give it 5 Pizza slices 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕. I highly recommend this movie. So when you get a chance you should watch it! Thank you for reading my review, please tell me what you thought below.
