Why Laughter Should Triumph in the Face of Adversity

I admire people who have a great sense of humour. I love men that can make me laugh and have an interesting and humourous perspective on life and just bring a smile to your face when you're down. I always loved the person who was goofing off in class and making a clown of themselves to make other's laugh. Their inner worlds must be so rich.

Laughter is the BEST medicine for most varieties of sadness or pain, it's contagious and it's something that is exactly the same where ever you go - laughing cuts across borders and languages and divisions. It's what truly makes us unique - and what makes us universally human. A smile can disarm almost anyone and wordlessly communicate joy.

I commend this father-to-be for making others laugh in the face of what I think is the greatest loss someone can suffer.
