I am nervous about going clubbing for the first time...

I have been to a lot of "dirty" high school dances before, but I am going clubbing for the first time and I want to know what to expect...

What do I do when I get there?

Should I bring girl or guy friends?

Should I stick to my friends while I am there or branch out?

How should I stay safe?

What are some tips to having a great time?

clubbing is what you want it to be. you can bring girls or guys ... although bringing guys will tend to cockblock off some of the unwanted male attention (maybe a good idea for you). when you get there, (I guess you don't drink so probs sober rovering it) make sure you have fun. cause clubbing was created for relaxation and fun! enjoy hanging out with your friends, dance if you feel like it, mingle and talk if you feel like it. clubbing was made for creating more positive relationships. I strongly suggest that FOR SAFETY reasons. stick with your mates. staying with your friends will keep you safe. and well how to stay safe? common sense, don't drink from a glass that has been left out, don't talk to dodgy looking people! and tips on having a great time? A GOOD MINDSET. clubbing ages are younger in some places (age of 18) I remember when I was younger and drank less, we'd put on a little music at my friends flat and dance a little first before we go into the clubs so we get the feel good endorphins pumping :) hope you have fun! and relax and enjoy. it isn't judgment camp, it is a chance to get to know your friends better and bust out those moves youve been practising in teh shower :P

I would recommend going with friends. It doesn't matter (in my opinion) if they are girls or guys, but it's always good to have some other people around you that you actually know. It makes the experience a lot more fun and also safer.

A tip for having a great time? Dance. Even if you are an awful dancer, just let go and enjoy yourself.

Your really over stressing about, just go and have fun.

When I go to a club for the 1st thing I do is spot the 2 key points of where's the bar and where's toilet.

Take whatever friends are up for it, it's good to have a mixed group put as long as people are up for it and don't get there and complain.

Have a couple of drinks then just let the night flow, if you want to dance do it, if you want to stay by the bar talk and talk to randoms do it. if you want to be with your friends do it.

In terms of staying safe the only thing you really need to do is be carefull if someone you don't know buys you a drink and you didn't see the barman serve it. Don't leave bags, coats etc. on there on own, use the cloakroom (you will per charged per item so don't take extra stuff you don't need) When you leave make sure it's with the group you came with. Also if you have a drink get a bottle keep it in hand/in sight. But stories of club night gone wrong are exaggerated.

yeah don't stress, its just like a big party with loads of people who you havnt met yet.

I love spotting the first timemrs at clubs hehe.

Anyway just go and have fun, take whoever is up for it, just make sure they are also looking to party and arnt down or anythign as it will ruin the evening.

Also it doesn't matter if you go with guys or girls.

Groups of guys hanging around you will ward of most other guys that you don't know unless they are tottaly drunk, and going with a bunch of girls will have the same effect, since most guys have learned their lessons to not approach big groups of girls in clubs, as they get shut down cause the girls have no clue.

So either way your screwed :D
