How to ask out your cashier?

I've liked this cashier guy for a while I think he's really cute. He's so cute that I never would have even tried or thought to talk to him if my mom hadn't told me he was staring at me. Since then I always go to the grocery store by myself, and whenever I'm there I always get in his line. I'm pretty sure he knows me now because he doesn't even ask me for my bonus card (I never have it on me) I'm always super shy when he's ringing me up (I always fidget with my car keys and look down). I always go in there 2 days a week and at the same time (the times that I know he's in there) One day I went and got in his line (it was the longest line) so another cashier pulled me to their line and she rang me up, but while I was walking out I saw him staring at me and even when I looked at him he didn't look away. I kinda think he might be interested but he NEVER says anything out of the ordinary to me. When he says "Have a nice day" I always look him strait in the eyes and say "you too". The other thing is that I think that one of the manager (or someone over him) has a thing for me. whenever I come in the store he comes up to me and even helps me shop. However I am really not interested in him I like the cashier guy. So my question is

1:Why doesn't he talk to me?

2:How can I start a conversation with him or ask him out without coming off as some weirdo?

3:Do you think the cashier is interested in me? Or am I completely wrong?

1: He could get into trouble asking you out or overtly flirting with you. Also, guys are insanely shy when it comes to talking to girls. That's why most of the guys who hit on you are jerks. They simply don't care if you turn them down or not, they ARE jerks, after all.

2: Do you make conversation with him while you're in his line? Talk about what you're going to make with your items. Ask him how his day is going. When he's getting off work and what plans he has afterward. Simple things. Find out something he likes to do or somewhere he likes to go, and ask if you can meet up with him when he gets off work.

3: Probably. You'd probably be surprised how many girls land in a guy's "like" category. Guys are terrified of rejection, though; so you may need to make the first move. I like the idea of finding out where he hangs out after work (Denny's, the mall, a pool hall, etc.), and trying to meet up with him after work.

i have the literally the same exact problem that is so funny!! I was worried we were talking about the same guy for a second.
