Are narrow shoulders really that bad?

According to wikipedia girls look at height and shoulder width more than anything in checking out a guy. I have been cursed with a narrow and lanky body and girlie shoulders. Is it really THAT unattractive for a guy to be narrow and have narrow shoulders?

It does matter. Its another one of those things that's registered in the subconscious. Girls might say they don't care, but if you gave them two dudes who are pretty much the same except for shoulders, they would choose the broader shoulder one.

That being said, being the way you are is STILL BETTER THAN BEING FAT.

My advice: don't be a jerk and don't be a pushover to girls. And have somewhat of a good clothing style. You'll be perfectly fine!

Yeah girls say stuff like shoulders and height doesn't matter, but it does affect how attractive they perceive a guy. It has been PROVEN and if you girls don't believe me I can link you to hundreds of studies.

Well the same can be said about guys. We say we want a certain type of girl, but deep down we just want to sexually ravage a big breasted, tight ass of a woman.

women choose to be with men who make them feel safe & secure. Broad shoulders is a sign of that. I don't know about your bone structure. But basically you sound thin. So start eating and working out. Especially your shoulders / deltoids.

Yeah, I am really thin(ish). I have a deep chest but narrow shoulders, and small twig arms.

hmm shoulders isn't what I ever look at wen I check a guy out...and for height I'm pretty short like five two so that's never a problem for me! personality counts a lot too. a guy can be unattractive but if he's super chill and super funny then he's bound to get girls, but if a guy is really hot but really shy or really douchy then hell tend to not get girls. its weird, but its the truth, girls are attracted to personality more than they are to looks.

I don't find narrow shoulders unattractive and probably wouldn't think anything about it. That being said, when I see an attractive guy with broad shoulders I definitely take a second to...*ahem*...admire :)

So overall, while I do prefer broad shoulders, it would not be a deal breaker it the guy was lanky.

Its not about muscle but bone structure.

I do like broad shouldered men, even if they're lanky. Can't go wrong with a good frame.

Then again, I actualy have broader shoulders myself for a girl.

I guess clothing looks better too on them, like suits and such.

Personally, I don't really notice shoulders all that much. I think wide shoulders are often representative of a strong build, however I know very fit guys who have narrow shoulders. Keep your body healthy, be confident, and it really won't matter. Besides, it's not like girls walk around whispering "OMG, did you see how girlie his shoulders are?!?!?!"

Yes...its not what you like broooo its what sells to girls and that's what sells right now. Look at all Hugo Boss, Armani Exchange and so on and so forth, they are all like that. The strong and masculine is not as attractive as it used to be back in the 80's. Now days is the metrosexual type of man.

There's a different between male model and hot guys. Male model means he looks at himself in the mirror all day. Hot guy = girls look at him. Girls, around here at least, never fail to check out a hot masculine guy.

Lanky is my favorite body type for guys, haha. So I don't think it's unattractive at all - on the contrary, I like it. :D

Umm... even though broad shouldered guys r attractive... i personally have a liking for lean shoulders but with fit bodies... the kind of guys who look like they r strong enough to do all the muscular stuff n yet lean enough to be able to dance n run around and play with you without being too stiff. I love lean shoulders with a slim torso on a guy. It gives the casual sexy look. It would be good if they have abs though.
