A lot of guys at my school will ask casually (in person, phone call, etc) and (if she says yes) will plan a more dramatic/public 'asking-to-prom' (since they know its safe). This includes banners/balloons at school, flowers with a note asking "Prom?" given to her throughout the day (like leaving it in her classes), videos posted on facebook (either a comedic sketch or serious romantic 'it would mean so much to me...you're an important lady in my life' type).
Ask her in person. Please don't actually ask her through Skype.
Here's a cute idea:
Get a permanent marker (which is in no way permanent on the skin), and write "Prom?" on her hand. She would probably think it was really cute. Good luck! :)
it is more romantic to do it in person, so try doing it in person if you really like her.
Thats not a bad idea. Why not write it out on big piece of paper and surprise her.
