What to say to a guy on Facebook chat?

Recently, I've been talking to this guy that I kind of like on Facebook. Well, not really talking, more along the lines of we like each others' statuses and occasionally have conversations in the comments about them. We never talk at school and don't have any classes because he is in the grade above me. But I want to start chatting with him (via Facebook) and I was just wondering what I could say to him. Please help!

You can just start up with saying hi and asking what he's doing. After a while it'll feel natural and you won't be like "omg, what to say?" or anything. I'm actually having a really nice and good conversation with a guy I find rather interesting on the Facebook chat and we pretty much talk about everything, in other words; we talk like a lot, like for hours and hours and when we first met last Friday (in real life) we both were so shy, but after some talking on the fb chat everything just goes smoothly.

So it gets a lot better after a while and if you run out of ideas what to say, you can just ask him questions about himself and all. Don't forget to let him try to keep the conversation going, then he'll be working a little hard too about keeping the conversation alive and you'll know he is kind of interested to talk to you too, but if he doesn't keep the convo going, don't be sad, he might be one of those guys that don't like to talk/chat a lot. Just start convo trough words like hi and hello than ask him about how is he and how is life going than let him chat to u. Try to talk normally and ask about his interests. Then shear your interests with him and see how conversation going on. Best luck

just be like "hey !" and then if he's interested in talking, the conversation will flow on its own. don't make a big deal out of it :)

Why don't people talk face to face nowadays? I don't get it... You can't touch a person on Facebook chat. Just talk to him the next time you see him. If you want him, let him know that, we just can't make magic and know X likes me. Make him notice you...

you always have ask like if he has girlfriend or married but that how would I be mske sure he works and not cheater or liar and have honest and not fake .
