Why does he act serious with me when he's around me?

This other guy friend I have, lol! Acts serious around me when he's with me. He is extremely crude and jokes around a lot and I am like that too! LOL! So everytime I act crude or I joke with him he just gets silent. I tried joking around with him through texting, and he kinda jokes back, but it's not like how the way he is with other people. Like with other people he'll act crude, and show his extreme funny side, where as with me, he just shows a little bit. I don't understand that? Any ideas? Opinions? Thank you!

A very wide area of thought but most likely is that he's attracted to you and thus probably intimidated too. If he's crushing on you he'll tend to get nervous and shut down in your presence cause he also cares about what you think of him - just in case he winds up saying something that offends you.

The other theory could be that he doesn't like you but that theory's negated cause he reverts to you and interacts on texts :)

LOL! Thank you! Yeah, he has told me many times he likes me, but he weirdly though doesn't like to joke around with me. Like he'll say other things to me, that shows that he likes me. It's weird cause he acts serious around me, when I am nowhere near serious, haha! I am the jokester type, I am never serious about anything, and he knows that, but yet he chooses to be more serious with me, and more goofy and extroverted towards others, just odd to me! lol! Thanks! :)

2 reasons I do that..

#1) I like the girl a lot and I get shy or weird, because I don't know how to react properly. Basically, I become nervous and then my behavior changes without me knowing it has...

#2) he doesn't like you and so when it's your turn to joke he shrugs it off. He doesn't want to be offensive, so he jsut acts serious and all.

Maybe he just wasn't in a joking mood at the time. Who knows? Try to crack jokes with him as he's telling them to friends or whatever and see if that helps.

it's like everytime though. He's always in a joking mood and when he is in a joking mood, I will say something funny, and he'll just be silent, and act awkward, lol! It's like all the time, haha! I have an idea of what that indicates, but I just wanted others input, lol! Thanks girl! :)

He will sometimes laugh, he doesn't cringe, he'll just look at me and be silent, lol! Like when I get really crude, he'll just look at me funny, but it's more of a look like "WTF did she just say? OMG" Cause i'm a girl, haha! So I get pretty extreme. So does he though. It's not like a rude silent , it's just like weird to me, cause he's extroverted, and bold, but yet when I get to his level of boldness and joke around like him, he acts funny, haha!

Maybe he thinks that you're stealing his thunder or something lol. Like he wanted to make the next joke or a joke about that subject and what he was going to say was going to suck compared to it
