I am just trying to get some general do's and don'ts before I actually try texting any girls, so here are a few questions.

1. Do you like getting good morning and good night texts every day/night?

2. If your crush sends a text and you don't respond for whatever reason, what is the minimum time that he can send another message in without seeming clingy?

3. What Emoticons count as flirty?

4. Is texting everyday too much for you?

That is all I can think of off the top of my head.

Okay, so good morning's and good night's are definitely do's. here's a few more questions.

1. Yes! GOod morning/night texts are very sweet. Maybe not EVERY day, but it's nice to know I'm being thought of. I'll usually respond to the messages. Sometimes I'll send a goodnight text first, but is never send good morning texts first, I always secretly hope I'll get a "good morning, beautiful" text before I text him.

4. No. Unless I have something to do and the messages aren't extremely boring, I enjoy texting a lot. If I stop responding quickly, it typically just means that I have something to do/have gotten distracted by something.

Haha, yeah. I've kind of been witnessing the same kind of pattern with my crush (who I just asked out by the way!!!) except for the emoticons. When we first unveiled our mutual attraction she did all of the things listed here (minus the emoticons) but after a while, I think she thought I was more interested in being friends. After I asked her out though, she used more emoticons, and she even told me goodnight for the first time. Lol, I just can't wait for Saturday!!

1. I personally don't like receiving good morning or good night texts EVERY day. For some reason it just seems too forced for me and too much.

2. Depends on what we are talking about, but a couple of hours or a day is good :)

3. I always use ;-) so I prefer them, but it really depends on so much else.

4. Depends on how much we text everyday. If it's a couple of messages it's fine. If it's constantly then no, unless we really have something to texts about.

1. If I do receive one I do respond.

2. If we are texting and I want to sleep then yes, otherwise I have only sent one once.

3. Sometimes, not always. I do tell them that I was busy and therefore couldn't answer if they ask me why I replied late.

4. No, usually that means I have something else to do and will get back to you when I can. If I'm not interested I will send you a text and tell you.

Good morning and good night texts are really nice to get. He can send another text when ever really. I wouldn't think he is clingy he just wants to get a hold of me, if I had to put a time then wait a half hour or hour. Flirty emoticons would be ;P ;) <3 and such. Everyday can be a bit too much sometimes, you need to balance it out.

Good mornings and goodnights are always great, sent be either side is fine. Unresponsive without reason out of nowhere could be that they are just busy, if they come back within a few hours they most likely have a reason. He can send another message after at least an hour, depending on how close you are. For emoticons generally :) ;) :p :") or any multiples like :))))))) or if they laugh a lot. In addition, if they do text actions, like *hug*, thats a cue in that they like you. Everyday texts are perfect, but not every two seconds, they probably have more to do then just text you all day. You can respond to goodnight texts, but not if you dont have to. Again either side can say goodnight, and to finish, if you get the opportunity to tell them you can't respond, do so. Hopefully this long response answered everything ^_^

Yes who doesn't like that because I knw he was thinking about me. If im at work or school and are unable to answer him I would say sorry I dnt have the chance and tell him how much I appreciated that sweet text he sent me. And flirty emoticons ;P, <3, :*, I could talk to someone everyday because we talk about different stuff all the time.
