What does it mean when a guy gives you his number instead of asking for yours?
advice/opinions?
I did this the other day.
she seemed interested and after some mild flirting I told her I wanted to give her my number, she said OK. I gave it to her and started to walk away and she told me "huh? You don't want my number also?" I said nah, if you happen to change your mind later all you have to do is NOT call me. I also said "I know you ladies don't like giving your number out so easily, so I just want to take the pressure off of you" when in reality, I was taking all the pressure off of me and dropping the ball in her court and walking away.
She called me on my phone that same night. Then she said " well now you have my number...You can call me whenever you like. I guess by giving her time I took all the pressure off...She knew I would get her number from the caller ID.
I'll assume this can work in reverse BUT most guys are willing to give out their number. Might work well with shy guys.
I guess I am not the first guy to ever do this, but since no one ever told me about it..it must be some great secret. Now you guys and gals know it, lol.
"I hate making the first move so I said I'd give him mine."
Wow how did I miss that...you know...you made the first move after all. When he texted you he made the second move.
You know something I like what he did...I mean as far as the texting goes. I am going to try that with the lady I just met. I am not sure if her phone is easy to text back on...you know..the number keys have 3 different letters on it making it nearly impossible to send a text back...it might force her to call me again..lol.
Smart move, he totally put the ball in your court! Now it's up to you whether you want to call him or not and he just has to sit back and wait for it... no fear of rejection or anything haha.
