If when you're hanging out with a girl (like playing video games) she calls you "bro" very occasionally, is it because she considers you like a brother? Or just an easy thing to say? (Like hey bro, watcha doing?)

I'd lean towards the second assumption. Unless she ever said "you're like a brother to me..." or something along those lines, then I wouldn't take the first assumption to the bank.
