It's just the thoughts And----Setting My sights----On them that freaks me out. Yes, cute as a button, but Not domesticated, wild and willy...
However, a pet shop mouse? Sure, even kiss and pet their little head. I suppose with this 'Oldest question in history,' it's a Mere-------Mind over matter, don't you think? xx

they are cute and very intelligent. not as much as rats burt very friendly. I'm always saving them from traps. and treating them to cheese... id read them a bed time story but they don't stick around long enough.

I'm not scared of mice. I don't particularly like them but I'm also not afraid of them? I'm afraid of spiders (though I have no idea why, they creep me out) and a few other things but mice are fine.

Well, I'm from England so we don't have poisonous spiders here. A fear of spiders is about context really, I suppose. My fear of spiders is irrational because I know they can't hurt me. But someone from Australia may have a fear of spiders and that would be perfectly rational because they can kill you over there.

I've never met a woman who's afraid of mice? One of my friends has got rats and they're absolutely adorable.

I don't think women are anymore afraid of mice than men are. I think that is just a stereotype that got started, because of gender roles. The woman was suppose to be weak and afraid, and the man was suppose to protect her.

Isn't this one of the "phobias" that psychology has a long list of? Phobias are by definition irrational fears but still real. Don't really know if this applies to all women, or if it's socially driven.
