Why do girls date douchebags and then complain about them?

My sister is 19. She dates jerk after jerk. Then when they break her heart she complains that all guys are bad and douchebags. It has gotten to the point that my friends, my other sister (her twin) my girlfriend, and my mother are sick of her complaining about it.

So I told her one day "Not all guys are douchebags and not all guys are bad. Your taste in men just sucks and everyone's sick of you complaining about it." She got mad but I didn't care.

How come so many girls complain about this?

"Douchebags" are confident simply put. Women love that stuff. They are also exciting and show their desire for them which women like. Women would love a mix between a douchbag and nice guy, but second place is the exciting and confident douchbag. They'd rather that then the boring and predictable nice guy. Now nice guys also don't tend to approach and although more women are making the move. The guys who are constantly asking women out will get play

They complain because they generally did not know how douchy the guys actually are and how they weren't gonna change. More like blaming douches for being douches

Because I think the majority of men are "douchebags". I mean I dont know how many girls you are going to lay down with before settling down. But I wouldn't be surprised that a lot of guys like to play around before ever making that dreadful decision...

If they were jerks from the start then you sister has a poor choice in guys and low self-esteem plays a role too. By not being confident herself and showing weakness, jerks are going to take advantage of that moment.

If on the other hand, it was a jerk pretending to be the nerdy, good guy then that's a hard one. Some jerks are very good in being actors.

Because they don't see the asshole in the guy when they first start dating him. Their mind is all fogged up and his true colors are fuzzy and obscured, coupled with him trying to give her a good impression so she'll stay. And then after time his true colors show through, because he gets lazy about keeping his front up.
