I wouldn't presume to speak for all women, but I enjoy showing off my bare feet. I keep my toenails polished, I wear toe rings, & if I have to wear shoes I wear sandals or flip-flops.
I go barefoot because I love going barefoot. I love how it feels, I love feeling the ground & floor under my bare feet. I love how I look in my bare feet.

First off, I actually hate being barefoot. I always have to have socks on, I hate open toed shoes and heels mainly because I have an issue with my feet and they're just uncomfortable. But I lock socks because they keep me warm and toasty!
Your girlfriend just might not like how she gets too hot in socks or how she can never find matching socks or just because not wearing socks is so much more convenient for her

It's comfortable for me to always be barefoot or to wear strappy sandals. My husband says my feet are pretty and sexy, and I like how they look. I do pamper them a lot to keep them looking nice, soft, clean, and sexy. I love to wear foot jewelry... anklets, toe rings, and barefoot sandals jewelry. I don't really ever cover my feet in socks or shoes that aren't sandals, even when it's cold in the winter.
The reality is I love to show my bare feet... I love how it feels to be barefoot in public, especially when I go to places like a fancy restaurant or shopping at the mall. I always wear bare belly outfits, so I think it looks good for me to be barefoot or in a pair of cute thin strap high heel or thin strap sandals.
