Girls, Why are younger women attracted to older men?

Many of my friends in early or mid twenties are attracted to or date men in late thirties or early to mid forties. What is the attraction girls?

- Older guys are usually more financially stable, and some women prefer dating richer guys
- Daddy issues (overly attached to father as a child)
- It happens simply because people treat it like a social norm of young girl dating old guy; where as if a 40 yr old woman dates a 25 year old man people would call her out for being a cougar and say nasty things

They need a myTake for this. It's because.. for me... they are dependable, they are upfront, they are clear on their intentions, they are settled and stable, that salt and pepper look is ridiculously sexy especially with some facial hair.

Well it depends on the age really and everyones different but I would say maturity and the prospects of someone in a better position. Woman want their knight in shining armour so for me that means must have brains, job, vehicle and pay his own way in life because if he's not mature enough to look after himself how will he look after a family some day. Young and immature was cute in school... lol

Well I'd say usually because they have their life more together (it really does depend on the person, but usually by that age they will have a sense of where theyre going and where theyre at), they're done the whole going out and will more likely want to stay in, go out for dinner etc. It's a lot of pressure to have when being a young man if your girlfriend wants to take the next step, guys in their 30's usually are ready when the girl is. They also look and act more mature in some cases

Some girls think they are mature wich most of the times its not true, I find some older guys more immature that some younger guys. Im usually attracted to guys about my age maybe a few years younger or older I am 24. Other girls like older guys because they can be their sugar daddies and other jus feel in love. I Personally dont like much big gaps in relationships because I fell with guy about my age we are at almost the same level of maturity and at almost the same phase of our life.

I think the attraction is to their level in life. Girls are attracted to stability, confidence, and sometimes money. Usually older men have one of the three.

I don't think it's that common for women to be genuinely attracted to men who are more than 10 years older. A few, yes. But it's not the norm.

It's usually driven by a trade off - she gives up some of her sexual desire for him to score a wealthier partner, a partner she thinks she'll have more power over or who will be less likely to cheat. Etc.

maturity level, interests, stability. Dating older people you figure would be easier... you'd think they would already be who they are and would be comfortable with it plus theyd know what they like. No one likes to mindread.

My cousin is 24 and is a very attractive lady, and is currently living with a 46 year old guy, real George Clooney type, salt and pepper hair, trimmed beard, nice dresser, drives a BMW. She said beside the fact that he's hot she loves that she can be herself around him and doesn't have to pretend. I don't understand that but maybe your comment sheds light on it.

I don't know, maybe maturity? And more stable financially?
I personally prefer younger guys around my age.-> In their 20's.

More mature, more settled in life, they're especially attracted to younger women so young women feel more beautiful or wanted.
