Why do girls like pickles so much?

I work at a burger joint while I'm taking classes. Every single girl that works there LOVES pickles as well as many of the girls I know. How one could love pickles so much eludes me. I mean, pickles are okay I guess, but not THAT great. What's up with girls' pickle obsessions? And for guys, is it just me who sees this or do you see it too?

Pickled gherkin is an American thing.
Here in Australia, McDonald's and Burger King insist that their franchises use the picked gherkin, which I would estimate 95 per cent of Australians pick off and throw in the bin.
The pickles are vile, but then so is the sugar bread.
If McDonald's wants to arrest its declining sales, it should try offering real food, not sugar and faux food packed with nasty chemicals.

i used to hate pickles... but damn... now i love em.. can have enough... and im not a girl.
its an acquired taste... try it yourself... you'll see.
as for girls, it does some mumbo jumbo with their hormones... trust me.. you don't want to stand between a pregnant girl and a jar of pickles... or whatever else their crazy minds think up

It is because most women are on some kind of diet which is missing out on several important vitamins and minerals. Pickles have a lot of key nutrients in them and are not considered fattening so they can cheat on their diets with them. Also they taste good.

Just going out on a limb knowing a few girls... they seem to crave sweet and salty sometimes. Quite often both one after another. I would think that pickles would treat the salty craving.
