Why do most guys like wearing white shirts?

okay, so... I'm a guy, and I don't really know what 'normal' is, cause I don't follow the trends, but

1. Why do most guys like wearing white shirts?

2. what's up with the physique revealing pants

3. white shoes?

4. okay so I really wanna know the answer to this one,

which one is better? V-neck shirts or O-neck shirts?

1) White shirts are cheap, easy, and simple. I like it, nuff said.

2) While I agree tight tight skinny jeans are mainly worn by gay guys and I would never wear them, I do wear what are typically considered "skinny". They aren't really skinny jeans, skinny jeans are the tight hugging jeans girls wear, mine are "skinny" because they fit well, and don't have extra fabric going everywhere.

3) I personally don't like shoes with their main color being white on top. I prefer White soles on all shoes, with tops being 2-colored, things like black/white, black/red, purple/grey, etc.

4) They're the same I guess. I usually always wore Crew shirts but the store didn't have crew shirts in my size so I got some V-necks, not really any thought to it or anything. I dislike how some people think it means so much, like thinking I'm trying to be fashionable. Cus I really don't care, It's just a shirt and I couldn't give a f*** about fashion trends.

1. A white shirt will draw attention to the details of a guys physique. A black shirt will generally hide the details of a guys physique. If a guy likes the way his upper body looks, he's more likely to wear lighter colors than dark.

2. I can't stand tight pants. Tight pants are uncomfortable and are too tight arond my quads. I don't like loose pants either. Standard cut jeans fit me very well.

3. I don't own a pair of white shoes. I can't stand a new pair of shiney white shoes.

4. If you have a well defined chest, wear V-neck. If you're stomach sticks out farther than your chest, wear O-neck. If you're an average size, take your pick.

Fashions come and go - constantly changing, so a lot of things you may not 'get' about a certain style will probably pass as the trend changes.

1. White is a universal colour. It looks good on pretty much all skin tones, and will go with anything, so it's just simple - but effective.

2. The 'now' body shape is really slim - even in men - so these tight fitting trousers mostly go with the shape of a model, and is then translated into everyday wear by us normal folks, with varying body shapes.

3. White shoes... I guess they're smart, clean cut, fresh, minimal.

4. I wouldn't necessarily say one was better than the other, both have their advantages. As an under-shirt, a crew neck works fine. But on it's own, especially if just a plain colour, can look really boring. A v-neck tends to look a little more exciting, and shows off the neck - which can be really attractive.

1. I don't know why they like it. maybe because they know that its popular and a lot of girls like guys who wear it?

2. This skinny jean trend is really hurting my feelings =( Luckily it hasn't caught on with a lot of guys in my area, its more of a younger guy thing (20 and under) and not too many straight guys wear it. Now slim fits like Levis are in for straight guys, but the gay dudes are doing the skinnies mainly. I think it looks fashionable and good on a guy..if I were a stylist for a random guy I would pick it out for him, but I wouldn't want my man dressing like that. A little too feminine. I can't have him looking like he borrowed my jeans sorry!

1. White shirts - simple, clean, and flattering. They go with anything and work with all styles, can be loose or fitted, and are classic.

2. Revealing pants - like skinny jeans? Just a trend, shows off the package. Kind of a male Wonderbra.

3. White shoes - to match white shirts? Again, simple, clean, goes with everything.

4. V-necks vs. Crew necks - V-necks look best on guys who want to show off their chest. They look best loose because they give a guy a sort of feminine figure if they hug his pecs. Crew necks look better tight on a guy with a good body, or a little loose, but still fitted.

O-neck shirts are called 'Crew Neck' shirts... sorry. I'm very particular about clothing.

WHITE SHIRTS ARE SEXY! Whether on guys or girls. Its especially sexy if you have a nice torso (i.e. nice pecks/shoulders or nice breasts)

It looks good on all races. If you're white, it brings out your features and plays up your hair. If you're black, it makes your skin glow. Everyone in between it can make your skin glow to playing up your features.

As far as jeans and sneakers... I think its a personal preference. =)

1. White shirts are worn for many reasons. Style, body show-off, laziness (very easy to pick up a white tee and put it on), etc. For example I'll wear white tees for the main reason that I'm out of other shirts to wear, so I just slap on a white tee which I can still use as a part of my style since white is a neutral color anyways.

2. Tight pants are good and bad but mainly bad. I used to go with skinny jeans because I looked better with them than rather big huge saggy jeans. Now those skinnies are so tight on my nuts I feel like they can't breathe when I try them on. So yea I don't use skinnies no more but don't think that every guy looks "better" with normal fit jeans, especially if it doesn't fit their style. Some guys can pull off the skinnies while others can't.

4. Ok here's the thing, v necks are more stylish than the o-necks, so EVEN THOUGH you can be a skinny d00d, you can still pull it off if you're wearing the right things along with it. If your NOT wearing a good combination, then you just look pretty effing weird hahaha. And yea obviously the big built guys can easily wear this and it'll look gud because yea theyre accentuating their upper body physique

Frankly I'm with you. Guys fashion is really at the height of gayness right now. I don't wear tight pants or tight shirts. Its uncomfortable and doesn't look good on anyone. I wouldn't be caught dead in a vneck shirt. All those people with white shoes are so anal about their white shoes getting dirty, Its like hey idiot don't buy white shoes if you don't want to get them dirty. I don't know a reason behind the white shirts if your talking about the solid white shirts. Fashion is usually horriable right now were still in the 80s again with a lot of the grunge era mixed in. So next year will be back to wearing really baggy clothes again and fubu will become popular again. Itsll be the mid to late 90s all over again.

Allow me to respond:

1) Personally I don't like wearing white shirts all the time; they're difficult to keep clean and stain easily. The only solid white shirt I have is a dress shirt. I, however, will wear any other color (bright or dark, pink included).

2) I wear relaxed-fit pants. I mainly wear loose-fit jeans. I also wear straight-fit jeans, but I make sure they fit so snug around the waist so I don't need a belt or else they'll be too baggy and unflattering. The skinny-cut (the fashion term for "physique revealing" lol) pants are, personally, not for me. It would be funny seeing a dude of my stature rock'n skinnys lol.

3) I usually have one pair of white-based shoes and a pair of black-based shoes. I don't like SOLID white shoes; they're a pain in the ass to keep clean.

4) I wear chains that are >= 30 inches, so imo a V-neck wouldn't look right wearing chains that long. I go for the classic crew-neck (the "O-neck" as you call it).

1. No idea. I don't buy white clothes myself because they get dirty way too easy. I prefer dark colors that hide the over time wear-and-tear well, or the occasional stain.
