Heart condition/bad walking, are these things deal breakers?

I find it difficult to walk because of an accident a while ago and I also have a heart condition. Both are likely to get worse.

Would these things be the deciding factor in considering a relationship? Would anybody not mind? :)

I'm in a similar boat, I don't have the heart condition, I do have remnants of an accident that had happened when I was a kid were I fell out of a tree and broke my lower back, upper hip area. I don't see where it would be a matter in a relationship. People tend to think that because a person has physical issues that they aren't worth being with, that's not true, they have feelings also just like the healthiest person does. If a person makes an issue out of one's health, then that person isn't worth being with.

I find it puts a lot of people off right at the beginning and it's hard having to work harder to make them like you :/ I hope you're ok, that sounds like an awfully nasty fall :(

My back kills me now, otherwise I am fine. I know that if people would learn to over look the physical attributes (Physical Health) of another person then this world would get along a lot better.

What's your heart condition? I have POTS which makes it very difficult to do a lot of physical activities at times. My girlfriend is very understanding of it and I know as a guy I wouldn't mind. :)

I had a heart attack and I have bradycardia but quite severe. I'm glad you have such an understanding gf and thanks so much! :)

Oh I'm so sorry! I know how you feel...I've had a LOT of heart problems too and deal with them daily. There's a lot of understanding guys out there and I'm sure the right one wouldn't let that get in the way. :)

If I met someone with that I would likely avoid. I'm very physically active and I would like someone who can do that with me. Plus I don't want to be a caretaker when I already have to take care of 35 screaming kids.

It shouldn't matter what your illnesses are , a guy should love you for whom you are
i have pass history of Supraventicular Tachycardia , means my heart beats out of
control for no reason at times but it is brought on when my heart is under stress only
i take so many medications unbelievable

A heart condition wouldn't be a deciding factor in a relationship at all. That being said, I'm also working towards a degree in nursing, so I'd probably be overly concerned with your condition.

I'm quite physically active, though, so if you aren't going to join me in my exercise, I'll work twice as hard and you'll have to be there for moral support.

Yes. I'd be lying to say I'd date you without at least knowing I had a means of care for your future. I'm concerned for your heart. I could never engage someone knowing I could not be what they needed.

Thanks for answering and I really appreciate your honesty :) I would understand those reasons because no one wants to be left alone early or having to watch somebody be ill. Hopefully things will just plod along as they are and won't get worse though :)

It isn't the caretaking but the ability to care. I've no problem dedicating my life to someone regardless of their health if I can provide for them. After all it is no different than any other relationship and no more complex.
