Unfortunately there is no way for sure to tell, but keep record of your feelings each day, and when they day comes, look at the symptoms of the days prior to your period. Just jot down a few little notes each day, and wait for a pattern. Keep track of unusual food cravings, acne, mood swings hot flashes etc. Your symptoms log should pay off if you pay very close attention. If it doesn't work after two months then stop, and except the fact that when we are young we really don't have that luxury of being able to predict! Peace! -Margaret

How long have you been getting periods? It's normal for them to be irregular for the first few years. Usually periods regulate themselves, but sometimes they don't. I had this problem until I started taking birth control. I would go up to 6 months without getting my period sometimes.
If you're really worried you can always go and see your doctor.
Always have tampons and pads with you when you go to school or go out, just in case. I know how embarrassing it is to have it start while in school.

I read that you are not very active. I'll give you the tough talk.
Its NOT what you look like its about your HEALTH. I think its normal so far with not having your period yet, everyone different. I got mine at 11 and my mother got hers at 16, so what strange genetics.
But if you make a few adjustments to your lifestyle, it will make your developmental growth easier and you will have less sickness and you can have more fun outdoors. I'm sure that there are many options where you live.
I'm sure that you're a sweet girl but I want you to have all the potential in life. That happens to me during volleyball season. Its the happiest 3 months of my life, I swear. If you're active all of a sudden your body will like shut off your period because it doesn't think you will be able to carry a baby.
Right when volleyball season ends and I get back into regular stream of things it comes back. But if your not active or anything I don't know. Just use a liner everyday and you won't bleed through when it does come.Periods have been known to have irregular cycles. I got put on birth control back in December for acne/hormones. Now, I know exactly when my periods start; every three weeks and on a Wednesday. They also shorten the time in which you actually have you period (mines about 2 days now), I rarely get cramps, there's less discharge. However, if you're not comfortable with the idea of birth control, then I'd suggest wearing small pads about a week or less after you begin to feel cramps. Always, always, always keep pads/tampons with you in case of this. If you're really unsure, even stuff some toilet paper into your undergarments. Check regularly too. Go to the bathroom when you wake up, before you sleep, after every other class.
It'll get regular in time. For now just time yourself on when it'll come around which timespan of the month. Try to recognize your definite signs when you're about to get it. And if that isn't enough sometimes your cycle will change ever so often but nothing that won't be quite so unpredictable.
this happens to me too, but it's apparently normal to not get your period every month or anywhere close to regular in that matter.
