Turn off the fuckin electronics and put your head on the Goddamn pillow. Simple as that.
Then you wait. Unless you have a wild imagination and start thinking about stories or some other BS. You wake up, write that shit down and put your head back on that pillow.
A lot of young people can't get sleep because they have too many things bombarding their minds, like cellphones, laptops, music, whatever.

Take a hot bath or shower it will make you sleepy again. Also try clearing your mind, if your thinking too hard or if something bothers you then it will affect your sleep. Also eating snacks and junk food or drinking something befor going to bed will make you not sleep as well.
