You need to find some motivation. If you really want to look better and be healthier, think of all of the things you'd want to achieve that you don't see yourself achieving in your current state. Make a vision board and look at it every day.
-see all of the things you're going to lose or never have if you don't stick to your diet and exercize
- go to a specialist nutrition - get advice
- do cardio, not strength training - cardio 2 hours a day, or 1 (depending on how much you can take - at a time, not throughout a bigger time span)

this is where YouTube can become your best friend, seriously. There are LOTS of healthy recipes on YouTube that fill you and are very healthy so that you dont have to over eat or feel hungry. 6 foot 2 inches? That is a great height! Dont worry too much about the weight, rather worry about what you are putting in your body and how your body feels. Losing weight is always a struggle but make it fun. Dont worry too much, enjoy the journey

Put a sign on your refrigerator or anywhere you store food that says "stop! Your stomach is not a garbage disposal, eat some veggies". Take a piece of ribbon and measure it to the size of a healthy goal for your waste and wear it on the hand you eat with. (If you don't want to do ribbon do string) I had the same problem but the signs really helped as did the ribbon.
Tell her your gf to call you chubby everyday. It will start taking it's toll and soon you will want to prove something to her.
