Wear a suit to game?

I'm in an amateur sports league and in the professional world, players who are injured usually wear suits or business clothes and sit on the bench. I got injured and I thought it would be funny to show up well dressed, especially since
doing something attention grabbing like that would be out of character for me.

If you were a fan watching what would you think? Funny, stupid, etc? Should I wear a suit or just business casual? My suit doesn't fit super well but it's okay. I think people like me and I'm not a clown or anything

This must be a non American thing, because in America they injured sports players where casual team gear on the bench/sidelines. Now when they travel for games with the team they wear suits.
