I had a problem like this myself. You need to visit a gynecologist and ask for her input. In my case I have a disease (which doesn't impact anything other than my hormone levels) which forces me to take birth control (yes I'm also a virgin) to regulate my flow.

You should go to a doctor. It could be nothing (if you've always been irregular, it could be nothing) but it could be due to something more serious.

Yes gaining weight can be a factor. I haven't got mine in 5 months or so.

It's not that tragic. But in my case, it's probably getting worse lol I need to go to the gyno soon. Hopefully nothing serious in my case.
