Are Women With Anxiety Disorders Mean?

Anonymous
I love my mother more than anything and do not wish to downtalk her, but she has some serious anxiety disorders stemming from her traumatic childhood and as I grow up and reflect upon her parenting, I'm noticing many odd and inconsistent things about her behavior toward the family that I think were the result of her condition.

The most notable thing, and perhaps what was responsible for most of our problems, is that she literally had the emotional maturity of a toddler little girl. There would be times when me or my siblings would misbehave, or she'd get into a disagreement with our dad, and she would literally break down into a frenzy of tears and rage that would continue until she got her way. She would cuss and scream in your face, continually push your buttons and hit you emotionally where it hurt, break things, and on some occasions use physical violence against you. A total childlike meltdown.

Seeing the tremendous amount of patience my father had to demonstrate dealing with her, I am honestly afraid of women with anxiety and/or other similar disorders.

So I guess my question is, are women with anxiety disorders often very mean and emotionally immature like my mother was? Does anyone have any similar experiences? Would it be best to avoid them when it comes to relationships?
