I'm feeling really scared right now. does anyone want to talk?

So, I developed a tumor just above my clavicle. The drs said it was non cancerous. And to come back if anything changed. Well I now have some huge masses in my lymphatic system, just below my mandible, and because they are not tender; I fear the worst. I think the tumor has spread into some cancerous cells, and I am really scared to get imaging done.. If they find more lymph nodes that are affected in other quadrants, that will automatically put me in stage III, which terrifies me. I just started my career, and have a small child. I don't want to have lymphoma!

Usually they do a TAC test which they probably already did. This gives a 90% probability of the tumor being cancerous or not. Second they probably also took blood work. Within the blood work they usually test for certain markers that can identify if you have any abormal cell growth.

But these are never 100%. The doctor said its not cancerous but thats not 100%, thats a likelyhood based on the first part. The only sure way is a biopsy to test a piece of tissue from the mass.

First of all I'm sorry to hear about this, secondly i have no idea what you are going through right now, being scared is normal. being afraid of the unknown and rather not knowing may seem like the better option but it may make things worse. get the imaging done, the sooner they find anything Which i seriously hope is nothing more. they can do something about it. Know that you are not alone in this, I'm sure you have family and friends who support you and will walk you through this. finding comfort in strangers online is a long shot. but do try to connect with someone close to you. it goes a long way. If i can i would send a hug your way. Be strong and remember you are not alone in this. Take care

Thank you so much for your kind words. Right now my friends and family are all about me giving to them. So its hard for me to open up about this stuff to them. I have my app set up next week to recheck my blood levels and do a scan of my lymphatic system. Hopefully its nothing.

I know its scary and thats news that no one wants to hear. But think about your futures and you child, and what might happen if you don't go get the imaging done. Try to hope for the best but prepare yourself for the worst. Get the imaging done and if it needs treatment you'll get it done early instead of waiting until its too late and probably starts causing pain. If you need someone to talk to you can always message me if you'd like. Your not alone. And even if it is getting worse, you can always bounce back from it.

I'm sorry, and I can't imagine what it's like. I do think it's better to go ahead and get the imaging done so you know. Knowing is probably better than imagining and that way they can get to work curing you. Witing will just make it worse physically and psychologically. Sending prayers and good thoughts your way!
