Man existentialism is something I love to think about, especially when I smoke weed, it makes everything so much clearer. I used to work in a hospital lab and had to help out in the morgue as well so I used to see dead people everyday and have probably seen close to a thousand of them. Seeing that everyday really makes you think about life since you see these empty bodies that were once filled with life. I'm actually very grateful for seeing all I have and it's given me a lesson about life. Seeing all those dead people made me realize at the end that none of them mattered. Sure they had loved ones that miss them and blah blah blah, but in the end they were all equals. They were a lifeless body about to be pushed into a freezer by a dumbass like me and when I die there's going to be some dumbass doing his job like I was and not giving a flying fuck about who they were and blah blah blah. Point is that they could have been murders, doctors, presidents (well not really, just trying to prove a point) and it didn't matter. We're all alive for whatever reason and so we should take that incredible opportunity and do whatever the fuck we want to do. Go for it in life and make it the best way you possibly can because in the end none of this matters. Life is an incredible gift even if we don't understand it, we might as well live up to our dreams and expectations.

A mixture. I tend to fall into existential depressions quite easily, but exercise, eating healthy, yoga, and meditation keep me in a more positive mindset where I feel less weighed down about the world around me. When I'm struggling though, food, loud music, isolation, and movies are what helps me distract myself.
Try group fitness classes. If you exhast yourself you'll feel amazing afterward, if you don't you'll still feel like shit afterwards, and very few people will go all out on their own
