Can I Numb My Belly Button?

I want to go and get my belly button pierced but I'm scared it will hurt..If I hold ice there to numb it would that help?

don't use ice. Ice will cause the skin to harden and make the piercing hurt more. Just grit your teeth and get it done.

BTW if you expect it to hurt, you will over prepare yourself and it will hurt a lot less... or at least that's what I've always been told.

Just make sure you don't put the ice directly to the skin because that can cause frostbite. Wrap it in a paper towel or rag first.

belly button piercings don't hurt ..trust me I seriously have a low pain tolerance! I just felt a bunch of pressure when they put the clamp on and then it was just a little uncomfortable when they actually pierced me. you have nothing to worry about :)

You're not meant to numb anything before you get it pierced. With all piercings it's probably going to hurt, if you dislike that then don't get it done. Any place willing to numb you isn't trust worthy.

You might have to just bare the pain. It will only hurt for a few seconds.

Take some Aspirin and suck it up. It's only a few seconds of pain.
