What do guys consider skinny?

I always hear most (not ALL) guys like "skinny" girls.

So, what is "skinny" to guys?

"Skinny" like the runway models, who are very thin with bones sticking out?

"Skinny" as in HEALTHY with maybe collar bones and hip bones sticking out?

Or another type of "skinny" that I did not mention (please explain).

I know everyone's opinion is different on this, I just want to see what the most common type of "skinny" most guys are interested in.

Girls are way to hard on themselves. Seriously guys are not this shallow. You don't have to be so skinny that your bones are sticking out. That's crazy. If you are a little over weight its ok it can even be attractive. Maria Carey is totaly hot and velopsious (hope I speld that wright) lol she has a full chest full but nice hips. Don't put so much preasure on yourself to be toothpick thin. Yes guys like a girl who isn't fat but you girls are way to hard on yourselves. Don't listen to these girls that tell you this. I can date a girl who is 5 foot 6 and 155 pounds. You don't have to be 115. Or even 125. 155 can look great. Just don't be 170. Guys are not as hard on girls as girls are on girls. Keep asking guys directly on this site. Forget about your girlfriends they think we are all majorly superfishal. We arnt that bad.

For better or for worse, I like skinny girls. Specifically, anyone thinner than me. I have a 30 inch waist, so if you're much larger than that I may pass you by. Many girls qualify without being bony. I think it's between size 0 and 5.

Can I just offer some diet advice? STOP DRINKING SODA. drink coffee, or tea, or water. Every 'fat' girl I know likes to drink soda, every 'skinny' girl I know does not.

Wow! You may be passing up a lot of women that are wonderful just because you're judging them on their waist measurements. How superficial. I think you're doing a favor to all the women you 'pass by' because if you choose to get to know someone based on her waist, I'm wondering if you have much else to offer? There is a huge gray area between obese and underweight. And the girl writing this post didn't specify what category she fell into, you just started giving advice on cutting out soda. Think

Superficial? Being fat, to me, is a sign of unhealthiness or bad genes, and I'm just not aroused. She asked what level of skinny people are attracted to and I answered it. I actually have much to offer, but I'm a neurotic weirdo, so it all balances out.

I agree with what you have to say, being overweight is a sign of unhealthiness, laziness, and bad genes. I also agree with the soda comment sooo true, and they think by drinking diet soda they are doing something, LOL!!!

Yeah, I'm not "overweight."

I am 5'5" & weigh 122lbs. (which I guess could be considered "fat" to some people...whatever)

I don't drink soda, I'm guilty of having an occasional Diet Pepsi or so.

And actually, coffee is much worse than soda.

Carbs, calories, natural sugar...NOT including the extra stuff people throw in it (milk, sugar, etc)

That's a good question Kashi! Skinny is okay as long as a girl is not starving herself to be skinny, meaning naturally a string bean. I was a string bean and it's okay. Bullemic or anorexic is not okay. So I hope the guys commenting on liking skinny girls keep that in mind. Hopefully, the girls have enough self confidence to be accepting of who they are and work towards a healthy weight.

With a few exceptions I believe the way to obtain the perfect figure is just to be healthy. Look after yourself, eat well and work out. I hate it when I'm called skinny just because I'm healthy and toned. I'm the complete opposite of anorexic- I look after my body.

I don't think catwalk model skinniness or so called 'curvy' overweight girls should be encouraged.

in my experience, guys who only pay attention to skinny girls have been a fat kid themselves and are worry of passing on the fat gene!

some really good looking tall guys I've dated actually prefer (and one married) a very normal average size women by American standards; meaning not bony at all.

All the same:

Perfectly skinny with an hourglass figure.

Long skinny legs.

Lush lips and almond shaped eyes.

Tall.

Nice flat stomach.

Round butt, not flat or too big.

That's what guys want in terms of skinny.

For me, I like skinny in the sense of healthy. Bones sticking out is too skinny, and a belly over the belt is not skinny enough. I'm not saying that I wouldn't date someone with a little weight, just that that is ideal. What I REALLY don't like is when girls worry about their weight too much. If you are a healthy weight and eat healthy, I feel bad if you skip meals and work out too much. So its the weight + attitude about weight combined that I like.

I use that word not. It has a horrible connotation. We can use slim or thin. I consider skinny to be underweight.
