Honestly, you probably won't get much playing time, especially at rb. I've played football for about 8 years now and there was only one really athletic girl throughout the years, but she couldn't take or give a hit. She just wasn't aggressive or strong enough (only weighed about 120lbs). The rest I've seen were, well ... "cupcakes" to put it nicely. Now I'm not calling you "weak" but realize that football is really a tough sport and nobody is going to take it easy on you just because your a girl. Running back requires you to take hits every time you touch the rock (which can be upwards of 20-30 times a game if your a starter). If you can handle running through the trenches where 200-300lb line men want to literally rip your head off and linebackers hitting you at full force then go for it. I've seen girls try a bunch of times, and it none of them got playing time outside of practice.

I am completely against any woman being on a mens football team. Mostly because you can get really hurt. I know woman want to rah rah and "we can do anything guys can do.. yada..." but facts are facts... men are physically stronger then most all women. (I obv am not talking body builders). Do you want to have kids when you get older? well if you get tackled and hit really hard in the wrong spot, you may not be able to have kids. So all your going to do is cause a lot of trouble for a lot of people, make a specticle out of yourself, risk serious injury, all to just ride the bench. A woman is not likely to make it as a RB. The only thing I can see a girl doing is kicker. They are basically girls anyway lol (just kidding)...
My husbands a wrestler and we have 3 daughters--no boys--and my oldest (10yrs old) can put her cousin in an armbar with lightning speed and its pretty impressive-embarrasing for her cousin cause he's a boy lol. I asked him if we could put her in the local wrestling team and he said absolutely NOT. So I assume he didn't care to have girls on his wrestling team when he was in HS.
Go for it! I'm a girl and I'm on the football team. I'm on JV and they play me every JV game. This was my first year playing. All the guys on the team thinks it's awesome that girls can play. I'm friends with all of them too. So don't let any boys say you can't do it cause you can. There's 1000 of girls playing all over America.

I agree with haLLDAY. I had a female football teammate back in high school. She played a little for our JV team and she might have went in for kick-offs, but that was it. It is tough for anyone who doesn't have a lot of weight to throw around. I didn't mind having her on the team, but I know some other guys weren't that fond of it.
Wouldn't recommend it. The guys on the team wouldn't like it, they'd take heat from opponents. You'd take flak from everyone at school. And, if the guys in your school are anything like me, the guys on the team would hit you just like anyone else. I don't know how much you weigh, but anyone under 160 would get killed, and the coaches would probably not want to put you in. Trust me, you don't want to do that.
Sounds like a pain in the ass. You'll wreck the game because most guys won't want to tackle you and risk severely hurting you. Or being accused of touching you somewhere they didn't mean to. I mean, I'd be excited and a little googly-eyed but practically speaking it would be frustrating. Personally I'd tackle the sh*t out of you. You'll either prove you can have a spot on the team, or you'll reconsider teary-eyed and I'd have my game back.
Your school has coed football? Mine didn't.
