Guy, would you get mad if a girl joined the football team?

I'm thinking about joining the football team. I'm not going to join this year but maybe my sophomore year (in 2 years). I'm short (5'4) rather light (115) I'm kinda weak but I have a very good arm. I am supposed to grown to be around 5'7 so I may grow by the time tryouts roll around. What position should I try out for and what kind exercise and training would I need? Also would the guys be mad that a girl was on the team?

Don't do it. You can still like football and be a fan, but playing the sport is a whole other level. You may think you could do it until the first time you get hit by a guy my size full speed (I'm not even that big considering), than you're laying on the ground hurt. It's just not worth it to be honest. Not to mention you would get laughed at most likely and not even make the team. You can however manage for the team if you still want to be close to the sport itself.

I personally, would laugh at a girl that tried to play on our football team. Honestly it's a man's sport for a reason.

Even Ida guy with your weight and height would be considered small for the football team. The best position if you can attain it would be kicker. Any other position would be suicide.

Best would be to join an all girl team.

You go for it. I'm 5'4 and weigh 135-140 lbs and I'm on the football team. I play offensive guard and defensive tackle. The guys aren't mad that I'm on the team. They think it's badass and cool that a girl can play. I got a lot of playing time just as much as every one else.

You say you have an arm right? I say you should do quarterback or fullback/running back since your small you can get through the giant guys and they probably wouldn't notice you. But I think you should do whatever position you want to try. Mix it up and see what your good at. That's what I did. And I chose what position I wanted to do. And that was playing on the line. I love it too.
