Yes. I was never overweight either, but with all the college stress I had put on weight I never had in high school. People still thought I looked great, but I wasn't happy with my body. I'd put myself on a strict diet for a week or so but give up soon after. Then I finally decided I'd had it with the yo-yo dieting and I'd had it with the insecurities. I used to be crazy confident about my body. So I decided to just simply become healthy by eating better and hitting the gym.
I didn't really put any strict rules on myself, I'd just think smart. I'd avoid desserts, candy, chips, etc. if possible. I'd plan my meals out a week in advance so I didn't have to think about it and make excuses for picking a quick unhealthy option. I started drinking a lot more water, and hitting the gym again. I wasn't too hard on myself, sometimes I'd slip up, sometimes I was too exhausted to go the the gym. I just made sure that I didn't let one slip up at lunch time ruin my diet for the next week. I'd also make up for it by eating really well and working out harder the next day.

yes I am happier now that I have lost almost 30lbs. I found what works for me and it's more of a lifestyle change than a diet. It's something I can and will do long term to keep the weight off. I eat sweats an junk food pretty much when ever I feel like it but in moderation. Find what works for you and go with it but depriving yourself of foods you enjoy and starvation diets don't work.
Some people can torture themselves for skinny bodies (so they are happy in their own view), but about the rest I still believe that most people the taste takes over the body shape. About me I prefers to keep a balance - When I want to eat, I eat without giving much thought, but tries my best to keep a limit - and that's the secret that I am happy.
So forget the skinny bit - eat chocolate, enjoy treats - just don't forget to avoid a little exercise (a small payout for the pleasure of treats).
ofcourse I m happier. it was very hard since the fridhe was always full. I would go, just take a look and say to myself "dafuq you are doing" and I would close the door and get back to what I was doing. sometimes I would go to the fridge 6 times, but I haven't taken anything.

I'm a lot happier! It was something I needed to do for myself health, mentality, and emotionally, and I certainly don't regret it. But my body is so used to eating healthy that those sugary foods I used to enjoy I no longer really do because I'm thinking about the cals but even so I don't regret it.
i actually feel the same I lost 50 lbs last year I feel 100% the same when I look in the mirror I look the same to my self... even when I was fat. I feel happy that i;m not buying a size 14-12 anymore and buying 5 and 7s tho holding up big jeans is so embarrassing for me
You can try a diet... I keep my unhealthy eating days on the weekends... It is better for me that way.
