Bananas! I swear by eating a banana, lol. Or take a potassium supplement I guess, but bananas are cheaper and the 'dose' is way more mild. Potassium helps with muscle cramps, which is essentially what your uterus is doing when it's contracting to push out blood and tissue. You may still have cramps, but the severity will be much less.

castor oil hot pads. buy some castor oil and soak a washcloth in it and place it on your stomach. it naturally takes away swelling/bloating and pain. place plastic over the pack then take a warm water bottle and place it on your stomach. leave it on for 45 min to one hour. this pack can be resused 30 times. chamomile tea also helps get rid of clots and help cramps. ice packs work wonders!
Hot water bottles and baths.
The hot water of the bath will help all your muscles relax and it also cleans you. I know it's gross, but it does help. And by keeping the heat on with a bottle, it will relax you.
It's not perfect...but it helps a little.Someone else mentioned it, but milk/dairy
Milk has some hormone releasing properties and if you drink it regularly BEFORE you get your period, it can lessen the cramps. Actually, any dairy products work. Try to increase your dairy intake and if dairy upsets you or breaks you out, then increase it slightly the week or 2 before your period. I've tried it and it helps.
Also, some dark chocolate can help. Just a piece or two if you can't stand it.sit with a hot water bottle ( I don't know I'm just going by what others do lol I don't get period pain )
ehhh 3 musketeers and green tea (: (well at least in my case)
But you love the way it hurts =/
But to answer your question, milk does it for me.Hot baths (to relax your muscles) and hot tea. Also heating pads and laying in bed work too. Basically you want to be as comfy as possible and warm.
A heat pad or hot water bottle can help immensely. Exercise can help a lot as well.
Heat pads & hot water bottles help. :)
